Weeding Part 2 August 3rd, 2022

Part 2. My community garden plot got over-run with weeds, which mostly are edible, but, I was told if it is not weeded by today, it will be mowed over.    So, I have been working very hard with a small clipper, and using the weeds for mulch. Some of the weeds I did take home to eat, some I will just let dry in the sun and powder those to add to food over the winter. I have to say in my research, that it has proven true in my garden, that weeds make other food I was trying to grow end up not growing, or stunted.
My research will continue though, on if I should simply allow weeds to grow in another space, like part of my yard, for consumption, because they are very healthy, or continue to try with seeds I buy or trade that are not considered weeds. Perhaps I will do both.

Barefoot Walk And Nosy Cat

Program reintroduces previously-believed extinct wood bison into the U.S.

This is lovely, and a sort of spiritual cleansing for the white people to release all that karma they created when they purposely killed almost all bison to starve the Native Americans. Love is good!

Common plants of Wisconsin

This website has great pictures of many common plants, some wild and some not, that are in Wisconsin: https://www4.uwsp.edu/biology/courses/plantid/045-Setaria.htm

This website has some links to identify 'weeds'
