Brilliant! Really well-done video! I love perennials too! I planted sunchokes, just went out driving and got a shovel full of them from the side of the road. They are super invasive, but they make really beautiful borders, that a person can eat in an emergency. My one shovel full has turned into a 60-foot x 4-foot edge around an ugly chain link fence, and pollinators love them too!

(San Diego) Changes for people living in vehicles

What are the ordinances? Many people are choosing to live in their vehicles, nomads, some are not poor or homeless, it has become a lifestyle for many. There is a great channel called CheapRVLiving that I have watched for years. Some of the ideas on that channel could be used by cities to actually help people upgrade their vehicles to make them more habitable! Vehicles need just a few things, a place to go to the bathroom, a way to get clean, a way to stay warm or cool, basic electrical is great and easy, a way to keep some food and a way to sleep securely. If you watch that channel, you can learn lots of different ways to have that all work well. Sometimes I have seen people that live in their vehicles who just need something inexpensive, like a new tire which wouldn't cost the city very much and could help keep everything looking good, while giving the car owner dignity! I have thought if I won a lot of money, I would buy several of those smaller, class B campers and give them away. There is a lot of good ideas in the comments too, seems people want to treat others kindly!

I am so sorry this happened to you, and I am sorry your mother has died too! In America, one of my friends was paralyzed from a stray bullet hitting him in the spine, and my brother's house had a bullet go through their living room window and break a vase across the room!
