I would say talk to some of the people who tell stories about their past, like the channel from Wally Brown, a Navajo Historian. He talks about a group of people that were not good and took slaves. Navajo Traditional Teachings channel is him talking while his grandson records. He has several videos on the Anasazi that are different than the general information most US citizens hear.
