It had to stop...

Just in case people have doubts about helping homeless or very poor people.... I was both, and many people helped me..... I managed to get a degree, and a job as a nurse..... that helped me be able to get a house.... and I just paid it off and retired and turned 70.... But... I try to help people a lot too, because I feel like it is something I owe, for all the good things people did for me! ..... I urge people to trust their instincts though, and back out of situations if you feel unsafe, don't get hurt.... but, most people are good people.... and if you don't want to approach them, there are lots of wonderful charities in almost every town that do lots of things from helping with diapers, to gas, to shelter, to food for those in need. Do whatever you can.... and take care of yourself too. I am just saying, even if you don't see the long-term results, trust that you did the right thing! I have come to feel like it is a gift to let me help others, because it always feels good. Not that I am better, but an important part of this circle of life!

Single Dad with Four Kids Homeless in a Hotel Room

Poor guy, he just got the place, kids are full of energy, baby is tired, they probably are all ready to eat and rest. I hope you gave him some cash; I see you provided them a room, Thank you! Love to all of them. They will be ok. He is working and the older daughter is helpful to0 a lot I see. I did this a few times in my life also! I also slept in a vehicle with a child, and that is horrible. I lived without electricity because we couldn't afford it, and a lot of different things. But.... California had a program for poverty level parents to go to college, so I started going for free. I moved to the mid-west and continued, then got a decent paying job and took a class called First Time Homebuyers class..... with that program, they help with a downpayment on a house, with great payback deal of pay back, but if you live there for 5 years, you don't have to pay it back. I finally paid off the last payment and retired, with a house, and my kids are adults with their own kids..... life seems worse for them, as far as costs of everything, but there are still programs to help, keep looking and you will be ok. It isn't easy all the time, but, don't ever give up..... crying is ok.... but, trust that there is something helping, I don't know what people want to call it, higher power, guardian angels, god, goddess... but, it is real and helps us all, I have seen the proof!

Groundwater floods homes in Libyan city of Zliten

Wow, rising ground water! Actually, in the Mid-west USA, something like this happened around 10 years ago, with ponds suddenly showing up in places where there were none, and some drying up, springs dried up in some places and came up in others where there was none. The feeling is sort of like being on a floating raft when I start thinking about it!
