I am 70, and my parents had lots of Tony's albums we listened to over and over, (Nat King Cole too I remember) but, I learned that song... I left my heart in San Francisco and still sing it, I traveled there many times. And this song, that kd lang is singing..... is so touching, with her spectacular voice..... is just wonderful. I saw the movie with Robin Williams where they put this song in part of the bombing in Vietnam, and I have had a difficult time listening to it since.... because it was so horrible what happened there..... but, she brought me back to the true fact...... that it is a wonderful world in billions of ways, even though horrible things have been happening..... I will keep focusing on the wonderful world I know we can create where everyone has fresh food, clean water and shelter to enjoy with their loved ones forever starting right now!

It had to stop...

Just in case people have doubts about helping homeless or very poor people.... I was both, and many people helped me..... I managed to get a degree, and a job as a nurse..... that helped me be able to get a house.... and I just paid it off and retired and turned 70.... But... I try to help people a lot too, because I feel like it is something I owe, for all the good things people did for me! ..... I urge people to trust their instincts though, and back out of situations if you feel unsafe, don't get hurt.... but, most people are good people.... and if you don't want to approach them, there are lots of wonderful charities in almost every town that do lots of things from helping with diapers, to gas, to shelter, to food for those in need. Do whatever you can.... and take care of yourself too. I am just saying, even if you don't see the long-term results, trust that you did the right thing! I have come to feel like it is a gift to let me help others, because it always feels good. Not that I am better, but an important part of this circle of life!

Poor guy, he just got the place, kids are full of energy, baby is tired, they probably are all ready to eat and rest. I hope you gave him some cash; I see you provided them a room, Thank you! Love to all of them. They will be ok. He is working and the older daughter is helpful to0 a lot I see. I did this a few times in my life also! I also slept in a vehicle with a child, and that is horrible. I lived without electricity because we couldn't afford it, and a lot of different things. But.... California had a program for poverty level parents to go to college, so I started going for free. I moved to the mid-west and continued, then got a decent paying job and took a class called First Time Homebuyers class..... with that program, they help with a downpayment on a house, with great payback deal of pay back, but if you live there for 5 years, you don't have to pay it back. I finally paid off the last payment and retired, with a house, and my kids are adults with their own kids..... life seems worse for them, as far as costs of everything, but there are still programs to help, keep looking and you will be ok. It isn't easy all the time, but, don't ever give up..... crying is ok.... but, trust that there is something helping, I don't know what people want to call it, higher power, guardian angels, god, goddess... but, it is real and helps us all, I have seen the proof!

We were too afraid to pull over for a lot of those stops because it looked like a person could just slide on the gravel right over! This is a very lovely video! I am single, so my social security and pension is about half of yours, but, I made sure my house was paid off, and all debt. I only have a few thousand saved, but that would be enough to use for an emergency where I could use monthly payments if needed, so I am relaxed about that. You are so right about it being personal. My biggest surprise was finding out I am old.... when I retired... I know that sounds weird, but everyone thinks about all these things they want to do.... but many of those have changed now that I am old. I have found so many things I never knew about in the area I live in, and don't need a big travel expense for example. I like my own cooking so don't eat at restaurants. If I want new things, I look at thrift stores first, most of the time and have been having a great time getting a bargain. I mostly enjoy being able to be independent, without being in a hurry to do anything, and I love my bed too, hahahaha! Thank you for all you do!

Beautiful drive and footage! I went on a trip through some of Arizona last year, and had no idea how beautiful the state is! I didn't see this, but we did go over some mountains, and the funny thing is that although I love the way they look, I get butterflies with heights. My driver also didn't like heights, and we both were practically screaming the whole way, hahahaha! I got some footage, but not very good because I could hardly stand looking out the window to take pics and videos! We did stop, so I got some better views.... and now I miss being there, so found your video, and am so glad! There is also something about when it is so hot there.... that feels healing.... I miss that too, and know it helped my health.... but I wasn't in it for hours.... so, I wouldn't recommend that to anyone not used to it. What a loving person Benjamin Spencer is! This example is one of the best reasons for not executing someone. Blessings to Benjamin, may he be able to live a good life outside prison now. I hope he got some assistance with money and anything else he needs! EDIT: What I found is that his case was reopened in 2008, and he got out in 2021, but was recently exonerated, meaning the whole issue was wiped clean from his record. There is a book out about him called Bringing Ben Home. He tells people to never give up hope, and he also has a 37-year-old son that his wife was carrying when he first went to prison at age 22.
