Former French colony in India expresses pride in city’s multicultural hi...

I think it is nice that different cultures can get along. I like that the people kept their culture with adding more good things to it, and nice that people are able to speak more than one language!

AMNH shutting down 2 Native American exhibition halls

For those who don't want to read the article, it is because they need the tribe's permission before displaying items, big win for Native People!

I strongly encourage people to research things in history, deeply, further than the surface, to be able to get the full picture and be able to say you are standing on solid ground.

The Government Sold Us The American Dream Suburbs. Here's What They Prom...

I love your information in the description. Yes, these ideas were not what many could afford, and many were not even allowed to buy, as you say, different nationalities. The funny thing is that there were already lots of little areas of communities that were not suburbs that were great for living in and had everything needed within walking distance, and many had a small garden too. Now, most of the little stores are closed and people have to drive or take a bus to the edges of towns to buy essentials like food. I wonder who made money from the suburb ideas.

Horse Gets Stuck on His Back in Snowy Iowa

It looks like the horse nods his head yes when she asks if it is stuck! Really hilarious!

Here's a look at homeless-constructed caves found along Tuloumne River

People live in houses like this all over the world, some are simply spectacular! There are underground places in Turkey that have many levels, and the people even could keep animals and food storage in them. These probably are not too safe only because of the water, and flooding or drowning, but they are amazing. Housing is going to look like it always has before the 'modern' times because the system does not work for many.

A look into the progress made at San Diego’s Safe Sleeping Sites

I see these as a great thing, people are not in the way of stores and businesses, they are not in as dangerous situations as near roads and people walking through, and the whole thing looks nicer too! People who stay here will feel better having some food and being able to clean themselves and go to the bathroom in a private area. If I were homeless, I would rather be here than on the streets!
But.... what if someone is smoking in the tents, or someone becomes violent? I am not being negative, just thinking about what I would think about if I were living there.
Housing is going to look a lot different, due to some people having a lot of money and many not having enough even when they work, and we need to be able to allow different types of housing to keep people, safe and treated with dignity. Bravo to all working on these situations!
