I am not sure where this will go.... but.... if you are in default.... try to talk to someone about starting some sort of payment arrangement...... there are several options.... I was always avoiding the whole thing and things got worse.... but it did help when I made a payment arrangement I could afford. Once you do that.... then it gets better.... and there are things like deferment, forbearance or income-driven repayment.... I am not an expert... but I am saying, it helped me to talk to someone rather than avoid them.
