Florida lawmakers pass bill to revoke squatters' rights, protect propert...

Imagine if they were in your car. Oddly, one of my grandmas, during the depression, didn't have any money and moved her and my dad and his sisters into an abandoned house for about 5 years, when one day a guy showed up asking her what she was doing on his property... so I can understand people needing shelter, and sympathize with them, I see lots of abandoned properties with nothing being done to them...... years later, when my grandma could afford her own house, she had to kick someone else out.... I think if the owner wants you out, and you are squatting, you need to get out.... I can see time frames given to those who pay rent though..... but, I wish something could be done with the houses that are empty and abandoned... some kind of list, and search for owner, then put them up for some sort of deal, like if you clean them up and pay the bills you can have them.... that would help some neighborhoods a lot and the people who also need shelter.... some sort of community effort.
