Can be the same in the men's bathrooms for boys too, I used to take all boys in the women's bathrooms until they were older, and yes, girls have gotten raped and murdered in the bathrooms, it happened in my town in the Midwest, and schools too! Be aware! What's bad too is that that girl got herself on the other side of that guy, she should have stopped and went back to her dad.
