Since this could happen anytime, on a plane, at your house, in a movie theater, driving down the road, in school..... these are either going to get made illegal, or new technology will come up with something safer, or we won't be allowed to carry them... its a weapon of mass destruction. (I was surprised we could bring them onboard when flying.... )
