Alcoholism and abuse are common all over where alcohol is legal, and some places where it is not, I am sorry that happened to your beautiful people! I have to say I am shocked at the beautiful fruit trees, gardens and running water! I am 70 now but worked in nursing homes for many years before retirement, and I believe it was a path that I was put on by a higher power than me..... what a gift job! (Except for some of the bosses!) Also.... it is illegal to photograph or do videos of people in nursing homes without their permission, or whoever has guardianship of them..... just saying! One day, you too hopefully will get old, and will know how important it is to have things you love near you. This beautiful woman could have easily been a singer/dancer/actress herself.... we don't know!

OMG, I had a neighbor like that, luckily, they left, and now my neighbors are great, but... everything was an issue, and the city was out so much, because they have to investigate complaints. I am so sorry this is happening to her; the city should have a limit on what is happening and be able to help her. Even if she puts just grass there, the neighbor is going to complain. The bad thing is a person has to follow the city rules, so.... some people complain and some don't care. Find out what fits the code and follow it.... Go to city meetings and get some laws changed so you can do some of these improvements with backup. Good luck darlings!

Growing misery in Texas as power struggle persists
People survived thousands of years with no air-conditioning, it just started becoming popular in the 1960's. They also didn't have electricity once. We need to be better prepared and not put it all on someone else. Houses could also be built to be cooler and more efficient! I am sad people lost their lives, but I remember working with no air conditioning anywhere when I was young..... none in grocery stores, nursing homes, factories, houses, cars, offices! There have been some great movies made about the heat... Some believe the heat helps heal, like a sweat lodge or sauna.

Baby Rescued From Locked Car While Dad Was in Casino: Cops
It is so funny when someone pleads not guilty to an obvious crime they committed! I was in a casino one time when a kid came walking in, he was looking for his family. He said he woke up in the car and they were gone. So, I told the people that worked there and stayed with him until they could locate the relative. I don't think they got in any trouble though. Gambling is a horrible addiction, I haven't gone in a few years, but just thinking about it, makes me want to go again, so I have to work very hard mentally to Not go! When I was a kid, 60 years ago, it was common for people to go to the bar and leave their kids in the car, sometimes the kid drove the parent home. Amazing how many things have gotten better..... there also was no shelters for domestic abuse victims, or even arrests. Life isn't perfect, but some things are better than not that long ago....

Just to toss in my thoughts..... I found that a lot of the weeds that grew in my garden are actually MORE nutritious than the foods I was trying to grow! So.... I have changed my diet somewhat to include them too. They grow better, bigger and are healthier for me. I do still like some things though, like tomatoes and cucumbers, that don't grow wild in USA where I live, so, I do grow them. Some of these wild weeds also get a fair market price! There are also some fruits that grow wild, like plum, and mulberry that I have in my yard, that are fantastic! There are others, and I encourage rather than fighting the current, just flowing with it a little for a more enjoyable ride! Every area has some native things that do better than other places, so I strongly encourage paying attention to that too. There is a lot of evidence that the nomadic people also planted like this, as they moved around, they planted nut trees and other foods and simply let nature take care of the growing process while they came back to harvest year after year, and maybe clean up a few things. Love to us all!

I was in Arizona last fall, 2023, and it was 112 F. , I felt like it made me feel so much better.... something about that heat that feels good on my skin, the weird thing is, I went back to the Midwest, and I felt like it was cold every day until about the middle of June.....(from Sept to June!) I still feel cold in weather around 72F..... I keep wanting to go back! I couldn't be out in the direct sunlight for too long, like 30 min. at a time without feeling like I needed some shade, but once I had that, it was ok. I am 69, and a smoker.... I know I would live longer if I moved back out there than I will if I stay where it is so humid frequently! But.... I also like the nature in the Midwest..... very beautiful too! I saw lots of people walking or riding bikes in the heat..... I don't know how they did that! If I couldn't have gotten to shade or air conditioning, I would be a piece of jerky meat...... hahahahaha

Citizens need to take charge of what is happening with their country and money..... we need to focus on a better world of ethics, wisdom, truth and love that quits profiting from destruction and instead profits on every level from creating, respecting and maintaining life!
