Growing misery in Texas as power struggle persists

People survived thousands of years with no air-conditioning, it just started becoming popular in the 1960's. They also didn't have electricity once. We need to be better prepared and not put it all on someone else. Houses could also be built to be cooler and more efficient! I am sad people lost their lives, but I remember working with no air conditioning anywhere when I was young..... none in grocery stores, nursing homes, factories, houses, cars, offices! There have been some great movies made about the heat... Some believe the heat helps heal, like a sweat lodge or sauna.
